100 years, NRMCA has represented the companies that make this possible. Today,
our industry has a presence in every state and every

Bill Sandbrook
Concrete is the foundation of our nation — but it is the people in the industry who make the difference. On September 11, 2001, William “Bill” Sandbrook was president and CEO of Tilcon New York, running the company’s New York and New Jersey operations. A West Point graduate who lost four firefighters from his own small town that day, he called the offices of Mayor Giuliani and Governor Pataki and offered everything Tilcon had. By noon the next day, 100 front-loaders, backhoes and dump trucks and 200 volunteers were staged on the Avenue of the Americas under police escort, bound for Ground Zero. Sandbrook was elected NRMCA Chairman in 2019.
