The I-41 Mainline Widening Project is a transformative infrastructure initiative designed to improve safety, increase capacity, and accommodate continued traffic growth along one of Northeast Wisconsin’s most heavily traveled transportation corridors. Spanning approximately 23 miles between Appleton and Green Bay, the project expands Interstate 41 from four lanes to six lanes, enhancing mobility and reducing congestion for commuters, commercial traffic, and regional travelers.

A major component of the project included the construction of new Diverging Diamond Interchanges (DDIs) at Northland Avenue, Ballard Road, and Richmond Street. These innovative interchange designs improve traffic flow, reduce conflict points, and enhance overall roadway safety. In addition to the interchange improvements, the project incorporated the engineering, construction, and placement of numerous bridge structures and ancillary infrastructure improvements throughout the corridor.

MCC, Inc. played a significant role in the successful execution of this multi-year project by supplying high-quality ready-mix concrete to several critical structures and roadway improvements along the corridor. MCC provided concrete for work at Ballard Road, Richmond Street, Holland Road, French Road, Van Den Broek Road, Buchanan Street, Rose Hill Road, and County Highway JJ. Through the dedication of its ready-mix operations team and fleet, MCC consistently delivered materials to meet demanding schedules and quality specifications.

Over the course of two years, MCC supplied and placed approximately 15,000 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete in support of the project. The effort required close coordination among contractors, engineers, suppliers, and transportation officials to ensure the successful completion of key project milestones while maintaining traffic flow throughout the construction process.

MCC, Inc. and its project partners are proud to have contributed to a project that will provide long-term transportation benefits for residents, businesses, and visitors throughout the region. The I-41 Mainline Widening Project represents a substantial investment in the future of Northeast Wisconsin, improving safety, efficiency, and connectivity for generations to come.
