The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) represents the interests of the ready mixed concrete industry before Congress, the Administration and federal agencies. Below you will find letters that NRMCA has sent to leaders in Washington on behalf of our members.

Letter to Congress on Infrastructure and Support for State DOTs
June 11, 2020 – NRMCA sent a letter to Congress supporting funding for state departments of transportation, in addition to urging Congress to pass a highway reauthorization and infrastructure investment.

Letter to Congress on Liability Protections
May 27, 2020 – NRMCA joined the US Chamber of Commerce and dozens of industry associations in urging Congress to enact liability protections for businesses in the wake of COVID-19.

Letter to Congress on Fixes to Paycheck Protection Program
May 21, 2020 – NRMCA joined the Chamber of Commerce and other business associations to ask Congress to provide additional flexibility to PPP loan recipients, including relaxing the 75/25 split and extending the window using the funds.

Letter to Congress on Paycheck Protection Program Reforms
May 19, 2020 – NRMCA wrote a letter on behalf of the Highway Materials Group asking Congress to prevent the imposition retroactive forgiveness eligibility requirements and clarify the tax deductibility of expenses.

Letter to Congress on Suspending Heavy Truck FET
April 28, 2020 – NRMCA, the Truck Mixer Manufacturers Bureau and the Volumetric Mixer Manufacturers Bureau joined a coalition of companies and associations in urging Congress to suspend the federal excise tax on the purchase of heavy trucks for the 2020 calendar year.


Letter to President and Homeland Security on Construction as Essential
March 20, 2020 – Early in the COVID-19 crisis, NRMCA, NSSGA and PCA lead a letter to the Trump Administration urging that the construction industry be deemed essential.

March 19, 2020 – The Transportation Construction Coalition sent a letter to Congressional leaders encouraging an infrastructure investment as part of COVID-19 relief and response.

March 18, 2020 – NRMCA joined a broad coalition of business groups to ask the President and Congress to provide economic support for America’s businesses as COVID-19 was forcing shutdowns across the country.
