Hotel Parking: On-site, self-parking is available at the prevailing rate (currently $44 day). Valet parking is not available. Additional fees apply for oversized vehicles. Off-site parking is available at Independence Plaza, which is an independent garage, not associate with the hotel located 0.2 miles from the hotel.

Room Rate: $179 per night plus applicable taxes.

Cut-Off Date: Tuesday, January 23, 2024, or whenever the room block sells out, whichever occurs first.

Airport: The closest airport is the Denver International Airport (DEN) located 24 miles from the Courtyard Marriott Downtown.

Transportation: The hotel does NOT offer shuttle service. A taxi will cost approximately $55 each way from DEN to the host hotel. To schedule a SuperShuttle or shared ride transportation, please contact SuperShuttle directly at (800) 258-3826.

Cancellation Policy: Full cancellation refunds, less a $125 administration fee, will be extended until Tuesday, January 23, 2024. All cancellations after Tuesday, January 23, 2024, will not be refunded. Fee cancellations cannot be transferred to a future class. Substitutions can be made at any time with no penalty. Registration cancellations must be made in writing to: [email protected].

Confirmation of Event: A class confirmation, confirming the course will run as scheduled, will be sent via email no later than COB, Tuesday, January 23, 2024. It is advisable not to make travel arrangements until you receive the class confirmation.

Important/Class Confirmation: NRMCA reserves the right to cancel this event. Class confirmations will be sent to registrants via email no later than COB, Tuesday, January 23, 2024. In the unlikely event the class is cancelled, NRMCA will refund the entire registration fee, but is not responsible for airline and hotel reservation fees. You are responsible for making and paying for your own hotel and travel arrangements.

CCSP Module III: General Business Knowledge (20 hours) Recommended for all personnel that need basic business skills and to understand job costing and legal issues. Optional: Job Cost Analysis Software: 4 hour session

SESSION 1 – Basic Accounting: The Balance Sheet and the Profit and Loss (Income) Statement
How to interpret basic financial instruments to determine how well a business is doing. Understand how to analyze trends to assess the financial health of a company. Key financial terms and concepts relating to the concrete and construction industries.

SESSION 2 – Financial Management and Cost Analysis of Individual Projects
Provide an understanding of costing individual projects to maximize profitability. The keys to this understanding are identifying and analyzing various cost centers and using a methodology of controlling various cost centers relative to a cubic yard of ready mixed concrete.

SESSION 3 – Fundamentals of Pricing and Break-Even Analysis
Approaching the more complex financial issues facing the ready mixed concrete industry to help determine whether you must sell at a premium, meet the market price, beat the market price, or walk away from the project. Preparing a price quote for a customer that ensures your company an adequate return and determining the break-even points for your company.

SESSION 4 – Construction Finance and Legal Issues
Addressing some of the important legal issues that affect the ready mixed concrete industry and the salesperson’s role in protecting the company from liability. The types of construction financing to be found in the marketplace. Developing a market analysis for promoting ready mixed concrete and planning for the future.
