1072 West Peachtree
At 60 stories and 749 feet, 1072 West Peachtree recently topped out as Atlanta’s tallest residential and mixed-use tower and is the tallest structure in the U.S.—and the tallest in the world—built with carbon-mineralized concrete.
Thomas Concrete supplied the concrete for the project, using CarbonCure’s technology to inject captured CO2 during production, where it is permanently mineralized. The process enables cement reduction while maintaining compressive strength, with the CO2 permanently embedded in the finished concrete.
Turner Construction served as general contractor and TVS led architecture and interior design. The tower includes 224,000 square feet of office space and 350 residential units.
Thomas Concrete has been a CarbonCure partner since 2016, when it became the first American ready-mix producer to commercially adopt CarbonCure’s technology at its Doraville, GA plant. As 2026 marks the tenth anniversary of that milestone, 1072 West Peachtree is a compelling example of how a decade of experience with carbon mineralization has scaled from early adoption to a landmark high-rise project.
