The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) has named Steve Lindley, CSM, as vice president, operations and compliance. In this role, Lindley will lead NRMCA’s safety, environmental, operations and compliance-related programs in support of the Association’s strategic plan and member value objectives. He will focus on strengthening industry resources, training, benchmarking, certification support and operational best practices.
Lindley will also serve as an internal subject matter expert on compliance and regulatory issues affecting ready mixed concrete producers and will provide technical and operational insight to support NRMCA’s advocacy team as needed. In addition, he will provide staff leadership for the Safety, Environmental and Operations Committee and related task groups; support the Concrete Plant Manufacturers Bureau, Truck Mixer Manufacturers Bureau and Volumetric Mixer Manufacturers Bureau; and lead the continued growth of the National Mixer Driver Championship as NRMCA’s flagship driver recognition and workforce engagement program.
“Steve brings a strong combination of ready mixed concrete operations experience, safety leadership, training expertise and direct engagement with NRMCA programs,” said Brian Killingsworth, NRMCA executive vice president, strategic operations. “His practical industry background and credibility with producers will be a tremendous asset as NRMCA continues to strengthen member value in safety, compliance, operations, workforce development and industry recognition.”
Lindley brings more than 20 years of safety, operations, training and regulatory compliance experience in industrial and ready mixed concrete environments, most recently as safety training manager at NRMCA Producer member Ozinga where he led companywide safety training initiatives, supported compliance across OSHA, MSHA, FRA and state-level requirements, and helped develop safety programs for operations, management, rail and annual OSHA training. He previously served as safety and operations manager for Wille Brothers Co., overseeing daily operations and safety functions for a multi-plant ready mixed concrete producer in the Chicagoland market.
Lindley has also served as an adjunct instructor for NRMCA’s safety course, vice chair of the NRMCA Safety Task Group, chair of the Illinois Ready Mixed Concrete Association Safety Committee and as an active contributor to the National Mixer Driver Championship.
