NRMCA Celebrates Developing Industry Leaders Graduates, Welcomes Class of 2026-2027

Alexandria, VA – September 30, 2026

The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association will celebrate the graduation of its 2025-26 Developing Industry Leaders (DIL) cohort in early October at NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks 2026 in Nashville, TN, while welcoming 23 participants into the 2026-27 class.

The graduating class will conclude its DIL experience at ConcreteWorks 2026 after more than a year of leadership development, industry learning, collaboration and applied work, including team capstone projects focused on opportunities within the ready mixed concrete industry. Throughout the program, participants explored five areas of leadership development: leading self, leading people, leading projects and change, leading industry and leading innovation. They also learned from industry leaders, worked with peers from across the country and applied their learning to challenges and opportunities within the ready mixed concrete industry.

“DIL is designed to help participants understand not only how they lead, but how they can use that leadership to strengthen their companies and our industry,” said Jill Roth, NRMCA vice president of learning and development. “What makes the program unique in our industry is the combination of personal leadership development, relationships with peers and industry leaders, and opportunities to put what they are learning into practice.”

“Developing Industry Leaders is one of the most important investments we make in the future of this industry,” added NRMCA President Jim Riley. “The program builds the self-awareness, relationships and practical leadership skills our companies will need to compete, grow and keep ready mixed concrete the material of choice. Congratulations to the graduating class and welcome to the Class of 2026-27.”

The 2026-27 DIL class kicks off virtually on October 1 with 23 participants representing 21 NRMCA member companies. Participants work across operations, quality, safety, finance, human resources, technology, sales and other areas of the ready mixed concrete industry. Over the next year, they will participate in virtual and in-person learning experiences, engage with industry leaders and collaborate on projects designed to build leadership capability and industry knowledge. The class will then graduate at NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks 2027 held in Orlando, FL.

“The range of roles represented in this class reflects what leadership in our industry looks like,” Roth said. “Developing the future workforce means building strong leaders throughout the business and giving them opportunities to learn from one another, broaden their understanding of the industry and build relationships beyond their own organizations.”

NRMCA’s Developing Industry Leaders program combines leadership development with industry knowledge and experience. The yearlong program gives participants opportunities to increase self-awareness, strengthen their ability to lead people and change, broaden their understanding of the industry, build meaningful relationships and apply what they learn to real-world challenges. The graduation of the 2025-26 class and launch of the 2026-27 class demonstrates NRMCA’s investment in developing leaders who will contribute to the future of their companies and the ready mixed concrete industry as a whole.
