The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association has named Taylor Walsh director of learning and development. She brings more than 10 years of experience with Marriott International and Starwood Hotels and Resorts, including in the areas of instructional design, learning technology, program strategy, content governance, change enablement, and enterprise learning and development.
“Taylor Walsh brings exactly the experience and approach we need to strengthen NRMCA’s learning and development programs. Her background in instructional design, learning technology and enterprise program strategy will help us deliver more practical, modern and scalable learning experiences that support our members and the evolving workforce needs of the ready mixed concrete industry,” said NRMCA President and CEO Jim Riley.
“Taylor is an exceptional fit for where we are taking Learning and Development at NRMCA,” added Jill Roth, vice president of learning and development. “She brings the combination we were looking for: deep L&D expertise, experience managing complex learning programs and technology, a strong understanding of how adults learn and the ability to turn ideas into practical, scalable solutions. Just as importantly, Taylor brings the curiosity, collaborative mindset and practical approach that will make her an excellent partner to our members, faculty and staff. I’m excited about what she will bring to NRMCA and to the learning experience we provide our members.”
Ms. Walsh joins NRMCA as the Association continues to strengthen how it designs, delivers and supports its learning programs, with an increased focus on learner experience, consistency, technology and scalable processes. In her new role, she will work with NRMCA members, industry experts, faculty and staff to better understand workforce needs and develop learning solutions around the real challenges people face on the job. Her work will include developing new learning experiences; build on existing programs such as Developing Industry Leaders; expand leadership and interpersonal development opportunities and help strengthen the technology, tools and systems that support NRMCA’s learning portfolio.
She holds a Master of Science in curriculum development and instructional technology and a graduate certificate in online learning and teaching from the University at Albany (NY). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
