This online course consists of 4 live Webinars along with downloadable presentations, reading assignments, unit quizzes and a certification exam. Attendance at all four Webinar sessions is encouraged. However, if you miss a scheduled session, you will have an opportunity to review the lesson presentation during that week.

The green building movement continues to gain momentum as developers, government agencies, and designers build structures to minimize environmental impact. To take full advantage of this movement and be a participant in the process, you have to have a detailed understanding of the design concepts and guidelines used in LEED.
 

Plus, ready mixed concrete professionals need to be prepared for the upcoming transition from LEED 2.2 to the new LEED 2009 rating system, which will occur in March. This course will feature LEED 2009 and will help participants understand and prepare for the new system.

 

Attend from your desk and you will learn about the environmental attributes of concrete and how it can contribute to sustainable development. You’ll come away with a detailed understanding of how green building rating systems work. You’ll also learn how promoting sustainable development can benefit the environment and your business. Course attendees will also earn their Certified Concrete Sustainability Specialist designation after completing the course and successfully passing the exam.
