Scott Campbell, Ph.D.,
Senior Vice President,
Structures and Codes
Scott Campbell is senior vice president of structures and codes for
the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association. His responsibilities
include managing national standards in the areas of structures, energy
and acoustics, among other topics, and coordinating with local, state
and national codes efforts. Scott joined NRMCA in January 2019.
Scott holds Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees in civil engineering
from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Ph.D. from the
University of California at Berkeley. He has authored multiple
publications in the areas of nonlinear analysis and blast design of
Scott is an active member on various committees of the American Society
of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Society of Heating,
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the American
Concrete Institute (ACI). He is a member of Board of Directors, and
president-elect of the Architectural Engineering Institute (AEI) of ASCE.
Scott is a registered professional engineer in six states.
Prior to joining NRMCA,
Scott was the director of code technology for the Portland Cement
Association, managed a consulting firm dealing with nonlinear structural
problems, vibration and acoustics, and was a faculty member at Ohio
State University and the American University of Armenia.
