Patrick Matsche Senior Director, Building Innovations
Patrick Matsche is NRMCA’s senior
director, building innovations. Patrick is an expert in building operations and
real estate investing. His primary objective is to offer technical expertise to
developers and design professionals in order to incorporate resilient and safe
concrete solutions into their projects. He integrates teams of architects,
engineers and contractors to offer durable, energy efficient and economical
concrete solutions that meet the needs of both building developers and their
tenants. He supports member companies by providing outreach and education to
developers and design professionals, offering practical alternatives that
underscore the economic benefits of building with concrete. His focus on low-
and mid-rise commercial and residential structures will advance the use of
insulating concrete forms, tilt-up construction and other cast-in-place framing
options in these markets.
Patrick has been an operator and advocate of sustainable development,
sustainable physical plant operations and green buildings for over 30 years.
Having spent 25 years as a project manager providing consultation services with
exposure to thousands of buildings throughout the Western U.S., he has worked
with developers, general contractors, commercial property owners and their
management teams optimizing sustainable environmental performance. He has also
been active in leadership roles with a wide variety of trade and philanthropic
organizations, including the Building Owners and Managers Association, and the
U.S. Chamber of Commerce along with the U.S. Green Building Council since 2003.
