Executive Vice President, Promotion Strategy
Gregg Lewis, AIA, LEED AP, is NRMCA’s executive
vice president for promotion
strategy and communications. Based in Blacksburg, VA, he has been a leader in the
construction industry for over 25 years, addressing issues including cost-effective and sustainable long-term solutions for buildings and infrastructure development.
His primary objective is to develop and refine
promotion strategy and communications for concrete buildings and paving.
He works with NRMCA’s paving promotion and building innovation teams to bring
the benefits of more durable, sustainable and economical concrete solutions to a
wider audience nationally. He supports NRMCA member companies and state
affiliates by providing communications, outreach and education to developers and
design professionals, offering practical alternatives that underscore the
economic benefits of building with concrete. His focus on low and mid-rise
commercial and residential structures and concrete parking lots and local
streets and roads will advance the use of all concrete systems for the buildings
and paving markets.
Earlier in his career, Lewis received multiple awards for his design work and business leadership. He has written extensively on sustainability and spearheaded the internationally acclaimed Cradle to Cradle Home Design Competition. As AECOM’s engineering project manager and deputy chief of party, he helped lead USAID’s post-earthquake healthcare reconstruction effort in Haiti with an emphasis on resilient construction.
Lewis is a registered architect and holds a master of architecture degree from Yale University and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
