Frank Gordon is s Senior Director of Building Innovations for the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) with responsibility for demonstrating the value and versatility of concrete building solutions to developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and concrete producers throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Frank has been an active member of the building design and construction industry for over 31 years. He began working in architecture firms in 1988 after graduating college with a Bachelorís in Architecture. He first worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority after college and then for small to medium-sized A & E firms in
the Southeast region while focusing on retail, medical, and industrial architecture and designing high-end residential projects in his spare time.
In 2006, Frank began a relationship with a small ICF contractor in Knoxville and became a certified ICF installer. He then designed several homes with ICF in and around the north-east Tennessee region. From 2007 to 2009, Frank assisted in the construction of several ICF educational projects in the state of Kentucky, including Richardsville Elementary School in Bowling Green, the nationís first
In 2013, Frank began providing quality control, construction administration, and estimating services for architecture firms and small commercial construction companies. He also continued to design ICF residential projects and in 2014 was selected as a finalist at the ICF Builder Magazineís Annual ICF Design Competition in Las Vegas, NV for the design of a large custom ICF residence in Knoxville, TN.
