NRMCA’s 2018 Industry Data Survey Results
HOT OFF THE PRESSES! NRMCA’s Annual Industry Data Survey is a unique compilation of metrics for ready mixed concrete production and the costs associated with the sales and support of concrete. The newly-released 2018 results will be discussed from both national as well as regional perspectives. Trends and possible outcomes for the current year given varying economic and political considerations will also be highlighted. You don't want to miss this session, as this data is not available from any other source!

Concrete Pavement Early Opening Strengths: Best Practices
Whether for maintenance patching or a newly constructed road, providing access to traffic soon after construction can be paramount. Particularly in urban or suburban areas where private residences or businesses depend on vehicular access. In areas where detours or other maintenance of traffic methods are unacceptable, providing sufficient concrete strengths for use by vehicles without inducing long term damage may be the only suitable option. This presentation will provide the latest information available regarding acceptable opening strengths, mixture design principles to achieve these strengths without impacting long term durability, how the inclusion of dowel may affect opening strength, and the best methods to estimate in-situ strength.

Build With Strength - Educating Decisionmakers
To change minds and win projects, we must ensure decision makers like developers, architects, engineers and contractors understand the benefits of concrete construction and how to design and build with innovative concrete building systems that compete with wood and steel. This session will explain the hardhitting Build With Strength education programs available including ICF Contractor Training, Roundtable and Site Tours, Lunch and Learns, and Online Courses. Learn how you can leverage these and other Build with Strength resources with yours to offer outstanding learning experiences on cutting edge concrete building systems.

Federal Regulatory Update
Over 80%. This is the change rate witnessed over the last 18 months of onerous regulations promulgated over the past 9 years. This session will go over the numerous regulatory successes on regulations of concern to the industry, as well as cover the number of regulations still in play. Topics covered will include, in part, driver’s Hours of Service, Electronic Logging Devices, Glider Kits, pH, SPCC Plans and Silica. As well, if you’re unclear about what these regulations are or how they impact the ready mixed concrete industry, this session will fills in the blanks.

Introduction to PavementDesigner.org
Meet the concrete industry's newest pavement thickness design tool! The PavementDesigner.org website is a free tool for designing parking lots, streets and industrial facilities using conventional concrete, roller compacted concrete, concrete overlays and full-depth reclamation. This presentation will provide background on the website and demonstrate its capabilities including detailing the pavement design platform and revealing other important features of the website. The session also will include a design demonstration for streets & roads, parking lots/areas and intermodal pavements.
