Scope and ObjectivesThe scope of the committee is to coordinate sustainable development activities of NRMCA. The committee actively interfaces with other NRMCA committees, State Affiliates, and national allies to assist in the technical aspects of sustainable development. The committee develops tools to assist members in employing sustainable manufacturing practices. The committee participates in development of standards for sustainable construction. The committee works with other NRMCA committees, State Affiliates, and national allies to support and promulgate the adoption of sustainability standards and buildings codes where none exist and helps develop and support amendments to local and national codes and standards where they are deficient. The committee develops publications and training programs for members, designers and contractors on sustainable manufacturing and construction.
