A letter from the Chairman:
Hello. I'm Hardy Johnson, chairman of NRMCA's
Government Affairs Committee. I’d like to welcome you to NRMCA's Government
Affairs Department and tell you a little about the various programs we offer.
NRMCA has always been very active in representing the industry's interests to
Congress, the White House and federal regulatory agencies. Not only does staff
lobby a number of legislative and regulatory issues on our behalf, but also
enlists the help of members through our Grassroots Network and through personal
contributions to CONCRETEPAC, the association's political action committee.
These programs, as well as our annual Government Affairs Conference, ensure that
lawmakers and regulators in Washington, DC, know and understand the needs of
ready mixed concrete producers. Should you have any questions about our
programs, or wish to participate, please contact Robert
Sullivan, senior vice president of government and legal affairs or by phone
at 1-888-846-7622, ext. 1148.
