This year's CONEXPO-CON/AGG show is shaping up as
a record event, according to the Association of Equipment
Manufacturers (and as reported in the Concrete Currents
electronic newsletter). AEM
officials report that total registration is 48% ahead of
2005 numbers for the same time period. Trend lines indicate the
show has a great opportunity to exceed the 2005 attendance of
125,000. Registrations for seminars and related events is
tracking 20% higher than 2005 numbers. Indoor and outdoor
exhibit space combined is approaching 2.3 million net square
feet, 22% ahead of the 2005 show total. AEM estimates that 17
billion pounds of equipment and exhibit materials will be on the
Las Vegas Convention Center floors and grounds.
