Government Affairs Committee
Chairperson: Ric Suzio Vice Chairman: Scott Parson Executive Committee Liaison: Ric Suzio Staff Liaison: Kerri Leininger
Scope and Objective: To assist the Association in monitoring and evaluating federal legislative and regulatory issues of concern to the industry; to help in formulating and implementing Association policy as determined by the Board of Directors; and to aid the Government Affairs staff by providing specific industry involvement and assistance with respect to statements and testimony presented before congressional committees and federal regulatory bodies.
A letter from the Chairman: Hello. I’d like to welcome you to NRMCA's Government Affairs Department and tell you a little about the various programs we offer. NRMCA has always been very active in representing the industry's interests to Congress, the White House and federal regulatory agencies. Not only does staff lobby a number of legislative and regulatory issues on our behalf, but also enlists the help of members through our Grassroots Network and through personal contributions to CONCRETEPAC, the association's political action committee. These programs, as well as our annual Government Affairs Conference, ensure that lawmakers and regulators in Washington, DC, know and understand the needs of ready mixed concrete producers. Should you have any questions about our programs, or wish to participate, please contact Kerri Leininger, Vice President of Government Affairs, or by phone at 1-888-846-7622, x1159.
